If you have tested positive for COVID-19, you can help slow the spread of COVID-19.

All positive COVID-19 test results are reported to the OC Health Care Agency (your local health department) for contact tracing to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We contact the person who tested positive for COVID-19 to see who else might have been exposed. Please take our call seriously. The caller ID will say “CA COVID Team.”

➡️What we ask for:

-Where you have been recently and who you have been in contact with
-The names and contact information of people you had close contact with so that we can call them. We will NOT tell them who may have exposed them without your permission.

➡️What we don’t ask for:

-Social security number
-Immigration status
-Credit card number

You should also inform your close contacts yourself.

If you had symptoms, contact people you had close contact with (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more). Your infectious period is two days before you had symptoms until:

-10 days after your symptoms started;
-3 days with no fever without medication (e.g., Tylenol, Advil); and respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough shortness of breath) are improving.

If you did not have symptoms, contact people you had close contact with (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more) two days before you took your test until 10 days after you had your test.

Here are some words you can use for texting or calling a close contact:

“I know this may be hard news to hear so if you want to talk, give me a call.

After we spent time together recently, I went to get tested for COVID-19 on [date]. Since we had contact recently, my doctor recommends that you and anyone in your home should quarantine at home and get tested even if you don’t have symptoms.

Please let other people you have been in close contact (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more) know so that they quarantine at home and can get tested too."

I tested positive and was never contacted. Is contact tracing actually happening? What's the average time from getting a positive test to receiveing a contact tracing call?

After wash, touching door knob, elevator button, mouse, keyboard......help what? Virus spreading though the AIR. Issue an order mask cover, please. Fine and jail combine for who not allowed the rule.

14 day ICU demand +63, ICU supply +87, net free ICU beds +24, cumulative COVID deaths +24.

Can we just see the raw numbers? How many beds are available? What is the 36.9%, 369 beds out of 1000? Numbers would be helpful!

Contact Tracing - what are the numbers?

What percentage of deaths and hospitalization are from skilled nursing facilities? Retirement homes?

New page won't open😐Why make things harder? Just wanted the FV number. Poor administration 👎

Can anyone find me a mortality rate? TIA.

What a travesty of political ambitions and carelessness of of political power! How many more people are going to die because of the supervisors inept behavior? This is really 😞 sad. How many people will never see next month?

I wanted to let you know that I experienced a social Distancing issue. In the front area where the returns in the online order pick up was crowded with go back hurts people arguing with store people because they were trying to take product out of the go back carts . I did manage to get through and keep my distance from everyone wearing a mask a force stood in line where marked on the floor waiting for the person who was in front of me they completed their transaction and a gentleman named Felipe I think was helping me and at that time another girl came over and started using the cash register I was being helped out without addressing me at all she requested the customer that she was helping in the returns to use the credit card machine there not conscious that I was standing right there did not say a word to customer reached over and was touching me at the time he was trying to do is transaction I don’t consider this social distancing in anyway shape or form and I don’t believe it’s considered proper guidelines from the county or the CDC.I am no health expert but I would expect better

I challenge each and every single one of you to watch this. www.facebook.com/drpatrickflynn/videos/289645679062866/?vh=e&d=n

Prayers to the loved ones of the two people lost today 🙏🏻😔🙏🏻

Over the past 14 days the pool of available ICU beds in OC hospitals has increased by 78 (due to supply surges being implemented), while ICU demand from COVID-19 patients has increased by 52 beds. This resulted in a net increase of 26 free ICU beds -- however some of those beds were likely freed up by the 25 cumulative COVID deaths since 6/28.

9 patients...that is 9 people who have passed...RIP to these folks...and Prayers,Thoughs and Condolences to their family and friends....Once this is over I hope everyone does not forget those who passed.

Please do not open school in the fall not save i don't care what precedent says

I saw a lot more people protesting with masks than I do driving down Beach blvd any day 🤷🏻‍♀️

This was expected... this is why we shut down almost completely and this is why we went in stages of re-opening. We didn’t do all that thinking we could eliminate the virus... we did it to build up PPE and to keep the hospitals from overloading like in New York. This is no surprise... not to say that each and every one of these deaths isn’t tragic... but still, not surprising. In a state of 40 plus million people... this is something that should have been expected and prepared for.

Again - to translate this information. OC did NOT have 9 Covid deaths yesterday according to their own graph. There were 9 deaths REPORTED yesterday from multiple dates. In Orange County there was ONE death marked as Covid yesterday and one death the day before.

For goodness sakes - copy a country who has had success. Lock us down, cover our basic needs, don’t open schools and eradicate the problem instead of preaching to the choir. Those of us reading here are doing our best and those who are not don’t read this stuff!

This is what we’re trying to avoid. God help the people of Arizona and Texas, and help us not reach that point by doing the right things now: stay home if you can, wear a mask and keep 6 feet apart if you can’t stay home, wash/sanitize hands frequently. www.huffpost.com/entry/morgue-trucks-covid-19-phoenix-texas-counties_n_5f0a32e6c5b63a72c342ad8f

Now that is a numeric report that will get those supervisors re-elected. Why don’t we open everything? The job that’s being done is so bad and so political we should be totally open. Let those who want to play, play and die. The county has too many people anyway! Let it rage!

Still dont understand the large discrepancy between the states and the counties #s. The state has OC at about 500 lower cases for the day.

OC’s cumulative case count has now surpassed the state count for OC by approximately 300 cases. State positivity rate for OC is 12.2%.

For the first 2 weeks of June the weekly new cases were just over 1,000 per week. Now, over 1000 new cases per day for the last 6 days. 😳

Still having over 1,000 cases a day!??? Man.

🙏🏻😔🙏🏻 Prayers to all families of the six loved ones lost in senior care facilities, and the 3 others among us out here 😞

It was just reported that test data for serology was included from April 28th to June 3rd and inflated the cumulative positive test results by some 30,000. Have the new totals been corrected? Also, the city by city tally (which we appreciate returning) includes a running total, but not folks that have gotten over the disease. Why?

blocking people with whom we disagree makes our information pool shallow as spittle on the hot pavement and does nothing for community, society or the nation.

Any word on treating the infected with steroids like with asthma people? Lots of good results in other countries and with a doctor in Texas.

@BradleyFischer I cannot see the comment where you tagged me or tag you back sorry man, was hoping for an honest dialogue. I hope your business recovers when the gov't gets this mess under control. Take it easy man

We'll be here soon... Wear a damn mask!!! From Dr. Nicholas Peluso who is an ICU doctor in Tulsa: I am mentally and physically exhausted. I lived through hell this week. My team is stretched beyond thin. So many sick and dying, all from a "hoax". A bloated ruse to "microchip" and control you. This isn't a warning. This isn't a lecture. This isn't "fear-mongering". This is reality. This is where we are. I'm done. Please don't ask healthcare workers what to do. There isn't anything to do but hope. Hope that this thing doesn't kill hundreds of thousands more. Hope that you or your loved ones don't get it. Hope that it's over soon. Hope that our lives can continue. The time for preparation is over. This country did everything wrong and now we see the consequences. Believe WHATEVER you want. I genuinely do not care. I don't have the strength or the time to waste arguing. But mark my words and mark them now. If healthcare workers get sick, this is over. If we fail, so do you. There is no plan B. We have no army of healthcare workers waiting to take our places if and when we make ourselves sick caring for you and your loved ones. It. simply. isn't. there. So, I wish this nation luck. I wish my colleagues health and some sort of rest during this nightmare. Most of all, I wish for a nation that trusts its scientific and healthcare communities, listens to suggestions, and heeds warnings. We are tired. We are worn out. We are your healthcare. If you've never needed us before, good for you. If you've been through something awful where you needed us and we were there for you, I hope you got the best care and recovered. If you find you need us in 6 to 10 weeks, I hope we will still be able to care for you and we won't be taking up those ICU beds with our own sick bodies. I fear we've already lost. This is not the nation I grew up in...

@BradleyFischer ooh, blocked me and called me a retard, at least I’m not a shill for the Russians trying to kill more Americans.
