With the community experiencing distress associated with the impacts of COVID-19, we are pleased to share that the OC Health Care Agency is launching a new advertising and community outreach campaign to support our communities mental health. The “What You Feel Is Real” campaign encourages OC residents to seek free County behavioral health services available to help cope with stresses associated with COVID-19. The ads remind people that, while they may be hesitant to seek help, they are not alone and reaching out is the strongest thing they can do.
While the campaign is aimed at the entirety of Orange County, there will be specific resources available to harder-to-reach communities and people for whom English is not their first language. The campaign will appear on transit shelters, as well as print, digital and social advertising. Electronic Community Outreach Toolkits will be available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Korean, Arabic and Farsi.
Your support is critical and greatly appreciated in assisting us to share this important message with your constituents. It is vital for our community to receive this information from you – a trusted source. We need everyone in the county to help us share factual information about the importance of mental health. It is more important than ever that our community takes care of each other, supporting all of our mental and physical health. We are all in this together.
While we all continue to do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19 and take care of our physical health, it is equally as important to take care of our mental health.
